Nice photos David!! I wanted to tell my Dieciocho story. Many years ago (Spring 1988??) as a masters student, I wrote a term paper for David on Josefa Amar y Borbon. I was a very timid grad student at that time, in my first year, and very unsure of myself and even if I were meant for the profession. When I got my paper back, David asked me to see him. To my surprise, he suggested I work on the paper and submit it to Dieciocho, then under the supervision of Eva Kahiluoto Rudat. That single comment changed my life David--thanks to you and to Dieciocho, and to all the panelists who came to C'ville to celebrate 30 years of this wonderful journal. Un abrazo a todos! Betsy Lewis
